It’s Mother’s Day and Terry Sprague reads an entry from his mom’s journal about her very busy ‘day off’ on the family farm. Andrew Binks reveals why a theme from a movie reminds him of his mom and how much she loved him. Conrad Beaubien relates how music stirred his mother’s memories.

Christine Riley, President of the Central Lakes Association of Realtors (CLAR), has the latest real estate statistics for the County along with trends in the region.

SERVICES
The Climate Action Working Group for Prince Edward County has completed a series of public consultations and is moving forward on the County’s Sustainability Plan. Albert Paschkowiak, Environmental Services and Sustainability Supervisor for Prince Edward County, and Angus Ross, Environmental Services Advisory Committee member, join us once again to share the findings from that process and discuss the next steps for the County’s Climate Action Plan.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
As Oral Health Month came to a close last week, The South East Health Unit (SEHU, formerly Hastings Prince Edward Public Health) made it easier for eligible seniors and children to access free preventative dental care in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties with the launch of the mobile dental bus. Oral Health Manager, Kelly Palmateer, talks about this new service and how keeping up with regular dental care can prevent or address dental concerns that can have an impact on our quality of life and overall health.

Have you ever wondered how barcodes work? Let’s find out from Carolyn Gummo of City Revival who joins us in studio to talk about the decision to transfer over to the new barcode system to help manage stock of the consignment store on Picton’s Main Street. COUNTY GROWS
Cheryl McLellan speaks with Lorraine Schmid and Lori Aselstine of Thyme Again Gardens, a diverse 115 acre organic farm — located in the quaint and picturesque community of Carrying Place. This family operation grows and grinds their own grains, harvests renewable energy sources, and grows food in accordance with permaculture. They produce wool products and provide a wide variety of heirloom, heritage, open-pollinated and hybrid vegetable, herb and flower seeds.

Krista Dalby and Hri Neil from the Department of Illumination dropped by the station to talk with Mary Ann Farrell about The Delhi Project. The Department of Illumination is transforming Picton’s largest green space, Delhi Park, into a dynamic hub of creativity and community connection with their new mobile art studio. From May 17 through August 2025, the 31-acre park will come alive as the organization embarks on an artistic residency to uncover the hidden magic of this storied space.
