It’s the Ninth Annual Which Books Are County Writers Giving As Gifts edition of The County Writes…The County Reads. Dave JD Carpenter, Vicki Delany, Janet Kellough and Ken Murray have an eclectic selection of fiction and non-fiction books which may suit someone on your list.

TOPICAL ISSUES & CURRENT EVENTS

Dr. Piotr Oglaza, Medical Officer of Health for South East Public Health, explains that, although leases on several satellite offices in communities including Napanee, Trenton and Picton will end as of March 1, 2026, residents will still receive public health programs and services.
Pat Larkin is producing Christmas Fireside Reads presented by the Marysburgh Mummers, 99.3 County FM, The County Writes…The County Reads and featuring local story tellers and musicians. Event takes place at Mt. Tabor Playhouse, December 7, 2 p.m., admission by donation to the Angel Tree and local food banks.
Evan Nash is hosting the Storehouse Food Bank’s Angel Tree in Wellington Home Hardware and explains how your participation will brighten a child’s Christmas.

Cheryl Singer sits down with Mike to talk about his latest work, In the Key of Blue, featuring the timeless songs of Blue Rodeo, one of Canada’s most beloved bands. Cheryl learns what sparked Mike with the idea of writing this musical with a story that blends heart, nostalgia, and music that defined a generation.
