In local news: The Water and Wastewater Department in Prince Edward County will be conducting watermain work on County Rd 3 between Reddick St and Ridley St on Tuesday and Wednesday. Repairs will take place overnight, beginning tomorrow at 9pm, with an expected completion time of 2am on Wednesday.
A lane reduction will be in place during the work with traffic control in place. Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair. These repairs are not expected to impact water quality. Residents including all customers located within Prince Edward Square, will experience an interruption to service while construction is taking place, followed by intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water for a short time once construction is complete. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
