Since 1986 Dr. Wendell Block, of the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture, has committed himself to helping asylum seekers who have experienced severe trauma. In this talk he will shed light on the medical and social realities faced by individuals seeking safety in Canada. Dr. Block's clinical assessments and professional documentation provide essential medical evidence for survivors requesting asylum. Admission is free.
