today. Freezing rain is in our forecast. Roads and walkways will likely
be covered in ice which might be difficult to detect so be careful out there.

Here is your County FM Sports
Todays’ sports is all about hockey. We start with the Dukes who take on
the Milton Menace at home tomorrow. It is a rare weekday afternoon
game with the puck dropping at 1:30 at Lehigh arena. The Dukes are
currently sitting in 7 th place in the East Conference with 3 games in hand.
There is a full slate of games in the NHL tonight.
The Florida Panthers are headed to Toronto to take on The Leafs at 7:30.
Defenceman Brandon Carlo will be back on the ice for Toronto after an
injury suffered by a series of events starting with a blocked shot. Carlo
blocked the shot against the LA Kings on November 13 th while on
December 1 st , it was announced that Brandon had a setback to his
recovery. He underwent surgery to his foot as the blocked shot led to an
infection in his ankle from a plate that had been inserted 8 years ago.
In other NHL action tonight, the last place Winnipeg Jets look to turn their
season at home against the Vegas Golden Knights while Vancouver travels
east to take on the Buffalo Sabers. The Nashville Predators lace up to play
Edmonton at home.
From the NHL we head over to the PWHL where there is one game on
tap this evening. The New York Sirens head to the Coca Cola Coliseum
in Toronto to take on the Sceptres. With 15 points apiece, The Sirens are
in 3 rd place in the standings while Toronto is in fourth. Whoever wins
tonight will leapfrog the Minnesota Frost into second place. Sceptres Daryl
Watts is looking forward to hitting the ice. She was named to the PWHL
starting Six for the month of December. Watts is sit6ting in 2 nd place in
the league in goals scored this season.
