And in New Brunswick a woman has a new take on the free library idea. She put a box in front of her house in Riverview, New Brunswick but instead of books, it’s stocked with mugs and tea cups. Kayla Stauffer calls it the Riverview Mug Exchange. The idea is to bring a mug or tea cup and exchange it for another one. Stauffer put the box up July 12th and says people are driving from other parts of the province to drop off mugs and pick up new ones. The box holds up to 8 mugs and typically turns over once or twice a day. The most interesting mug so far? Stauffer says they see some unique hand made mugs but she likes a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup mug.
