What are you reading? Renay Weissman-Stanners is reading an historical novel set in Prince Edward County where there is no shortage of scandals. Mark Despault is delving into the life story of a late, great Canadian folk singer. Janet Dalicandro has chosen a mystery that reflects contemporary themes.

On May 1, the provincial government will bestow strong mayor powers on an additional 169 municipalities including Prince Edward County. Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp discusses the reasons for the Strong Mayors, Building Homes Act and how it may be implemented. Craig Foster, County FM News Director, explains how the station will cover the federal election when the polls close on Monday. Hear the finale to Terry Culbert`s `parachute in the tree` story. ICYMI: The Teeny Tiny Summit arrives in Prince Edward County on Thursday, May 1. Emily Cowan, PEC’s Director of Community Services, Programs and Initiatives, outlines the program and the panel discussions on the theme, Engage and Energize – Empowering Teeny Tiny Places.

Artscene co-host Sarah Moran will find out more about a new project called Art Flow, created by County Arts in partnership with Community Living Prince Edward (CLPE). Brandy-Lee Wilkes from CLPE and one of the artist facilitators Kaya Joan, share how Art Flow is part of the Youth in Transition Program, aiming to help young people with an intellectual disability make a smooth move from high school to life as an adult.
