Debbie Whittall was reading ‘an uplifting book about grief’. Annelise Noronha found inspiration in the words of a revered poet. A program worth repeating!

As part of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, The County has implemented a new initiative designed by seniors – for seniors. This innovative program gives senior residents the opportunity to borrow fitness equipment and supplies, free of charge, from our public libraries! We speak with Shire Hall‘s Program Services Department to learn all about it.
SERVICES – HISTORY
Thomas Harrison, Vice President of the Prince Edward Historical Society, sheds light on pivotal moments during the late 18th-century in this region, revealing how the alliances developed with Indigenous peoples were instrumental in shaping Canada’s identity. In this interview from June 2023, we learn how Canada may very well have become the 51st state if it weren’t for the support of our indigenous neighbours.
CONSUMERISM
An increasing number of people are replacing the grass on their lawns with other types of ground cover. Environmental Activist and Co-Chair of the County Garden Club, Lise Bois, provides information about the limitations of grass and the different kinds of ground cover options, both native and non-native, to this area.
