Saturday, September 27th at the Regent Theatre, Emma Donoghue, award-winning novelist, screenwriter and playwright discusses her latest best-seller,
The Paris Express, inspired by an iconic photograph from 1895.
She also discusses adapting her own and others’ work from page to screen and stage including H is for Hawk. Jeannie Marshall, author of All Things Move: Learning to look in the Sistine Chapel, reveals her response to her first of many visits to the Chapel and what she has learned from the stunning frescoes and Michelangelo’s masterpieces. In his conversation with Pamela Stagg, Ethan explains why you have to cut trees to love a forest and why leaving a forest to manage itself no longer works. His explanation about how you “old-growthify” trees is definitely worth a listen.

99.3 CountyFM, along with Prince Edward Learning Centre, conducts free workshops titled Seniors and Technology: Embracing the Digital World. Thank you to those who attended our first one on Friday at PELC. The workshops focus on the role of digital technology in your life. It’s an opportunity to share your experiences with and attitudes towards technology and discuss how we spend our time in the digital world. And perhaps identify some opportunities to use digital technologies in new ways.
