Meet our Radiothon 2026 Honorary Chair… Jane Thompson!

Jane Thompson began volunteering with 99.3 County FM 12 years ago and is best known as the host of “The County Grows” program where she interviews experts in agriculture and food. 

Jane came to Prince Edward County from Toronto. She and her husband, John, own and operate a century old family farm, which has evolved from dairy to poultry over the years. The two were inducted into the Quinte Agricultural Wall of Fame in 2023. 

Many know Jane as a retired teacher and a leader of the Prince Edward 4H Association. She has been a strong advocate for the farming community and a staunch supporter of youth and many non profit organizations in Prince Edward County for four decades.

Off the farm, Jane has planted and nurtured seeds in education, activism and community involvement for youth and adults alike and truly made Prince Edward County a better place.
