Timber Masterson is an actor, musician, writer, and storyteller whose adventurous creative journey has spanned continents and genres. Now based in beautiful Prince Edward County, he hosts Wondrous Stories & Progressive Melodies on 99.3 County FM — an hour of eclectic music, inspired readings, and the occasional interview.

Now settled with his partner Kelly and their dogs Rosie and Pippy, Timber continues to write, perform, and produce new music, including his upcoming album The Lush State. Though he hasn’t yet won an Emmy or an Oscar, his real rewards are the stories he tells and the joy he shares with his community.

Timber’s life reads like a novel. He’s taught tennis at Club Med in the French West Indies, played piano at the Roosevelt Hotel, performed guitar at L.A.’s Viper Room, and produced underground warehouse shows in Toronto and New York. He’s toured a Canadian play through a brutal Newfoundland winter, written for Aaron Spelling in California, and even appeared on The Geraldo Rivera Show during his New York club-kid days.

A gifted writer, Timber is the author of Timfoolery: Tales of a Third Rate Junkie and a longtime contributor to publications including The National Post, The Montreal Gazette, Now Magazine, Flare, Tribe, Watershed, and County Magazine. He’s also co-produced and hosted the literary salon Word Substance Spatula at Toronto’s Drake Hotel and appeared in TV series such as The Expanse, The Firm, Reign, and My Babysitter’s a Vampire.
