HEALTH & WELLNESS

Chef, nutritionist, and proprietor of Carte, Rachel Bies, joins us for a conversation about the often-confusing world of vitamins and supplements. From protein powders and superfoods to collagen and greens blends, we will explore what is genuinely helpful, what may be more hype than health, and how listeners can make informed choices when standing in front of shelves full of products! We will also learn about supplement quality, absorption, possible interactions, and a few simple ways to support better health this spring.

PRIDE MONTH

Join us for an in-depth conversation with PEC resident, James Woo, as we explore the history and evolution of the LGBTQ2S+ community and the issues past and present in Canada and around the world. This powerful discussion will break down the LGBTQ2S+ acronym letter by letter, examining identity, language, inclusion, pronouns, Two-Spirit history, global perspectives, immigration and refugee experiences, and how LGBTQ+ communities have changed across generations. From the origins of the movement to today’s conversations around representation and belonging, this interview aims to inform, challenge, and open meaningful dialogue for everyone — whether you’re part of the community or simply looking to better understand it.
