CRTC Schedules License Hearing for September

July 17th, 2013

The Prince Edward County Radio Corporation (99.3 County FM) announced today that their application to operate a community radio station in Prince Edward County will be considered by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) on September 12th.

“No interventions were filed against our application” said Treat Hull, Chair of the Board of 99.3 County FM, “so with the support of over 270 members and 15 community interventions in favour, approval is a near certainty now that the hearing has been scheduled”.

“Getting our hearing represents a major step forward and will put us in a great position to start fundraising and developing programming in the fall with the goal of getting on the air by next summer.”
