KASHKA is the ever evolving project of musician, and recent county transplant, Kat Burns. Though the music Burns writes can span genres, from electro-pop to folk, she always keeps one element in common: melody. Her most recent album, Relax, is a succinct collection of dreamy pop songs, filled with lush harmonies and soaring string arrangements. Her lyrics shine through, as on previous projects, and a stand out is ‘Reset’ which explores -through anatomical metaphors- that we are just human under all the electronic social pressures of the present day. Burns has gained accolades from around the world, spent quite a chunk of time touring Europe in the last couple years, had her music featured in film and television, and is releasing a web series called Why We Work this month.
