They may express life and living conditions in specific North American geographical locations. They often tell a story through music.

Tuesday nights from 8 -10, join Ben Parkin and Greg Hinde, along with friends like Muddy and B.B. and Buddy and Elmore, for a healthy two-hour dose of blues in the County. From the brand new to the very, very old, from Canada and anywhere else in the world where the blues has taken root, if it’s bluesy, we’ll play it. Toe tapping and finger snapping optional.

10:00 pm – 11:00 pm Franco Care host of Lost Planet of Sound: Garage Rock

The Lost Planet of Sound on 99.3 County FM, hosted by Franco Care, is a weekly, one-hour show that explores the musical multiverse of Rock and Roll, from its inception to modern day. As the name implies, this show delves into and uncovers musical hidden gems, deep cuts and long forgotten bands and artists. This show maps out Rock’s history and its obvious and, at times, obscure web of interconnectedness. On this show you’ll hear everything from Early Rock, Garage Rock, Psychedelic, Surf, Punk, Pub Rock, Proto and Post Punk, Funk, Alt-Country and much more. If you enjoy your music being spoon-fed to you, then this is NOT the show for you. If you’d rather be encouraged to tap into the colossal tapestry of music that has been created and recorded over the last half century, see how far down the rabbit hole goes and hear something really cool that you’ve never heard before then tune in, Tuesday nights at 10PM to the Lost Planet of Sound.

Hosted and relentlessly researched by Greg Hines, Wondrous Stories is as much about the tales behind the music as the music itself. Each show is themed to bring light to the various and darkened corners of the prog rock genre. Deep cuts are a specialty and don’t be surprised to hear songs that go well beyond the normal 3 to 4 minute range. If you like your music somewhat left of center, this is the show for you.
